Throughout a decade of movement work across the South and Midwest, Jillian brings deep experience creating financial systems that work for the work.
In their previous role at an LGBTQ+/racial justice organization, Jillian specialized in finance and found delight in spreadsheets, compliance, and developing protocols that kept the organization compliant and nimble. They built out the infrastructure for bail-out actions, including tracking more than $500,000 in donations, disbursements, and bail returns across the South. Simultaneously, they supported the budget increasing from $3 million to $7 million. In preparation for the 2020 elections, Jillian co-launched and developed the infrastructure for a new c4, which was uniquely positioned to support that monumental election year.
At All* Above All, Jillian has been integral in developing financial protocols to shepherd the organization into its current state of organizational independence with oversight across three organizational budgets. With a deep belief that how and why we spend our money is irrevocably connected to our politics, Jillian has a keen eye for supporting financial stewardship across the organization.
In their downtime, Jillian enjoys training to reach a 400 lbs back squat (personal best 355 lbs) and spending time with their family near any body of water they can find. They also enjoy getting to know their neighbors and attending community events, as they believe strong communities create strong organizing.
