At the end of June, I attended the VONA Voices of Nation Writer’s Workshop at the University of Miami. VONA/Voices is the only multi-genre workshop for writers of color in the nation. It’s goal is to bring writers of color to a community where their work is centered and honored. I was selected to participate in the Essay Workshop. T
