Trump Medicaid Change Illogical and Harmful

Destiny Lopez, Co-Director of All* Above All, issued the following statement:

“Each of us should be able to live, work, and make decisions about our health and our future with dignity and economic security. Think about it, Medicaid work requirements actually make no sense as a policy. You shouldn’t be forced to work when you are sick just to get health insurance. Medicaid insurance improves people’s overall health, and healthy people are able to work more consistently. Adding extra hurdles for those enrolled in Medicaid is just another moment when the Trump Administration is playing on tired stereotypes and targeting the well-being of people struggling to get by and communities of color to a score a political victory.”
