Oregon Historically Covers Abortion, But Many Women Subject to Restictions

Oregon remains the only state that hasn’t passed any legislative restrictions to abortion – many proposed abortion restrictions including five ballot initiatives since 1970 pertaining to reproductive rights, have been rejected. However many Oregon women – including a disproportionate number of women of color – face legal and economic barriers that obstruct access to coverage for abortion including restrictions on eligibility for documented and undocumented immigrant women.
