With Roe v. Wade gone, elected officials in the U.S. Senate must do their part — starting with ending policies that deny insurance coverage of abortion, including the Hyde Amendment.
Senators must also pass the LIFT the BAR Act so that immigrants are able to enroll in Medicaid without waiting periods and access health services, including abortion care.
The Supreme Court has eviscerated our basic right to abortion in many states. Ending the Hyde Amendment and passing the LIFT the BAR Act are key steps needed to ensure each of us can make our own decisions about our futures with dignity and economic security.
